Gianna trying to walk

We spent the 26th playing with all sorts of new Christmas Toys!!! Here is a video of Gianna trying to learn to walk....she is not anywhere close to walking on her own or being able to stand unassisted, but it is fun to watch her try new things!

Gia's 1st Christmas!

Christmas was amazing this year. It is so different to see Christmas through a baby's eyes. Gia was soo spoiled by everyone (so thank you everyone who gave her gifts, they are appreciated).  She was such a trooper- first we had Christmas at home...Gia got a few toys from mom and dad. Then it was off to Grammy and Grandpa's house for a lot of toys and clothes....she was having so much fun ripping open the paper (and trying to eat it). We then went to Mimi and G-Paw's house, where she had more toys to open! By this point she was on stimulation overload. I know she loved everything but she was in desperate need  of a nap. She slept in the car on the way to Gainey and Grandan's house, where she was then ready to play (and dance) with Carson and Warren!

We get such a kick out of watching her interact with other babies...it was a blast. From the Christmas presents to sharing toys and wresting over cheerios! The day was a ton of fun. Gia loves all of her presents and was 100% exhausted by the end of the day!

Family Photo Shoot

We were fortunate enough to have an amazing friend (who is also very talented with the camera) offer to take some family photos. Just thought we would share a few...

Thank you Moe Saurenman and IMS Photography!

Christmas with Nana and Grandpa

We spent the weekend in Merced, CA. Christmas came early for Gianna! She got to open presents from Nana and Grandpa....she LOVED the paper, had the time of her life ripping the paper and trying to eat the paper and bows! Nana and Grandpa gave Gia a musical push scooter. She is obsessed with "dancing/bouncing" to the music and she loves to stand and hold onto the back it. Here are a few pics. Thank you Grandpa and Nana!

New Play Mat

Now that we have a standing and crawling machine....we have to watch her every move! Mimi and G-paw bought a mat to help cushion the hard wood floors when Gia falls. This is day one on her new play mat.

something was upsetting her in this picture (she doesn't have the best poker face).

She sure does love music...especially the piano.

Dancing Queen!

Standing up!

Gia has learned how to stand! On December 3, 2011 we went into her room to check on her (she was supposed to be taking a nap) and this is what we discovered! She does know how to crawl...however she is much more interested in pulling herself up to a stand. She uses anything and everything. our dresser, the dogs, our knees, coffee tables, fireplaces....let the baby proofing begin.

As for the crawling, she knows how to crawl and will do so when there is something she REALLY wants....other than that, she figures it is not really worth the effort. ha ha someone is stubborn (wonder who she got that from??)

Catching up....

It has been a few weeks since our last update....

Thanksgiving weekend:
We had a fun and successful first Thanksgiving! Daniel and I both commented that there could be nothing better than a baby who can actually eat solid foods being able to enjoy Thanksgiving. We gave Gia: stuffing, green beans, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, turkey, cranberry relish (no sugar), and Dave gave her a TINY taste of pumpkin pie! Man oh man was she a happy girl. haha.

After thanksgiving we had house guests. Nana, Grandpa Tony, Uncle Victor and Cousin Adrian came down from Merced to visit. We had such a fun weekend putting up the Christmas decorations.

Pictures with Santa!
Gianna had her first encounter with Santa Clause! She wore her "Santa Rocks" attire. We expected some tears (stranger danger)...but to our surprise she was quite comfortable with him.
